NATURE AND COUNTRYSIDE WALKS
Our rich local countryside is a patchwork of fields hedgerows and small
woods well served by footpaths and quiet country lanes. Two National Parks
are within one hours
travelling, containing some of Britain's most spectacular scenery. Foxhill
Homestay is situated within a natural amphitheatre of rolling hillsides.
Just yards from our front door you can see foxes, hares, badgers,
rabbits and all varieties of birdlife all around you. There are endless places we can take you to for a walk. Below
are just two examples.
INGLETON WATERFALL WALK
With spectacular waterfalls plunging through twisting wooded glens
resplendent with wildflowers this walk is a delight for all the senses.
If you are interested in geology, wildlife, or photography this is a
must. MALHAM COVE AND GORDALE SCAR
Malham Cove is a huge, dried up
waterfall. The Cove forms an impressive natural limestone
amphitheatre. From the top are long distance views across the Yorkshire
dales and up the Ribble Valley where you will be at Foxhill. A short walk away is Goredale
Scar, a massive collapsed cave and Janets foss waterfall. |
